From hand-made thank you cards to letters to leaders, the art of writing with purpose is fading. We will explore letters from leaders in both faith and secular communities. At the end of the sermon, congregants will be offered paper and envelopes to mindfully write a letter for any reason they desire.
Born in rural Pennsylvania. Evan spent his high school years in Southwest Florida where he focused on Model UN and became an Eagle Scout. In his early 20s he moved to Washington, D.C. spending two years as an AmeriCorps volunteer and then two more years working in high riskcommunities as a community service learning and sexual health counselor. While there he also became an elected official serving on an advisory council in local government. In 2013 Evan moved to Reno to start a business. He was introduced to UU through his wonderful partner Sarah. When Evan is not busy as a chair of our Ministerial Search Committee and doing other volunteer tasks at UUFNN, he will be writing cards and letters to friends, cooking large meals as he listens to Dr. John, and enjoying quality conversation.
