Kristin’s Goodbye Letter
June 24, 2022
As you know, over the past several years, with your loving support and encouragement, I have been pursuing my call to Unitarian Universalist ministry. After completing seminary and my hospital chaplaincy, the next step is to serve a UU congregation as a ministerial intern. I have accepted an internship at a UU congregation in Albuquerque, New Mexico beginning in August.
It has been an immense joy to serve this congregation in a variety of capacities over the years, through Create Meaning, membership ministry, and now as your Director of Lifespan Faith Formation. I have deeply loved working with Rev. Karen and the staff; exploring creatively with the Religious Education committee; experiencing Unitarian Universalism through the eyes of our children and youth; and learning and growing with all of you.
I will be completing this phase of my time with you all on July 15th and then Jason, Matilda, and I will be moving temporarily to Albuquerque. Between now and then, the RE committee will be supporting a smooth transition of our educational programming. I have long believed that we are at a turning point in religious education (even before the pandemic!) and I’m excited about the opportunity you’ll have to lean into these exciting new transformations.
Thank you so much for all of your love, support, empathy, and care over the past many years. I will miss you!
With much love and gratitude,
